Top Ten Favorite Heroines From Books
(In No Particular Order)

1. Hermione Granger from Harry Potter: Do I even need to explain why Hermione Granger is on this list? NO. I don't. She has to be on everyone's list. She's smart and strong and saves those boy's asses more times than anyone can count. She is someone all girls should and can look up to; she doesn't need a man for direction. She works hard, and creates her own path.

2. Vin from Mistborn: SO BADASS! She's strong and hard-working and unbelievably talented. I haven't even finished the series yet, and she's already on my list. That's how incredible she is.

3. Quintana from The Lumatere Chronicles: She's crazy and smart and intuitive. People always underestimated her, but she is unstoppable. She's cunning and ferocious, and willing to do whatever it takes to survive and find her soul-mate. God, I LOVE THIS SERIES!

4. Hazel Grace from The Fault in Our Stars: Not only is Hazel strong and hilarious, she's also weak and broken. She's a real person, not a badass, crime-fighting sorcerer. She's an unsuspecting hero.

5. Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games: There are so many powerful female protagonists, but gun to my head, I would most likely choose Katniss as my favorite heroine. I am so deep into this fandom, and this series, and I love her so much. Strong? Check. Broken? Check. Independent? Check. She's just magnificent, and willing to do anything for those she loves.

6. Meira from Snow Like Ashes: Again, this series is just starting out, but Meira is so awesome. She is constantly trying to prove her worth to those around her, when all she has to do is be herself, and the world will fall into place. Love her. Major girl crush over here.

7. Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass: This is another heroine that goes without saying. If you have read this series, then she is on your list. She's badass and independent, and willing to do whatever it takes in all scenarios.

8. Cammie Morgan from Gallagher Girls: She's a spy for Christ's sake! And an awesome one at that. She risks her life for the safety of the country, sure, but mainly, to save her best friends. She'd do anything for them, and I love that about her.

9. Wanderer from The Host: I love this book. Hate on Twilight or whatever, but this book is completely different and completely awesome--and most of that is owed to Wanderer. She's of a species meant to take over, and yet, all she wants is to save. She's strong and self-sacrificing and desperate to help.

10. Linh Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles: Cinder is awesome. There's not a lot to say other than that. She's trying to save the world from an evil bitch, and continues to find trouble, but continues to KILL IT! She's unstoppable and fights even though there isn't a lot of hope.

  1. Love it!! Whenever I don't see HJG on a list, I'm like, have you not read Harry Potter or were you trying to be cool and different?
