Book Haul: 3/29

Tuesday is the most wonderful day, for it is the day that more wonderful books are brought into this mortal coil. So today I headed to my favorite local bookstore--Brookline Booksmith in Brookline, MA if you're curious--and picked up a couple of beauties. I wanted to get Walk the Edge as well, but unfortunately they didn't have it. Now it will arrive in two to three business days.

Rules for 50/50 Chances: I've had my eye on this novel since last fall, and today I finally decided to put it in the crook of my arm. The cover is weird and simplicitic, and the plot sounds like the perfect mix of tragedy and romance, the two things I look for in a story. Count me in.

This Is Where the World Ends: I didn't like Falling into Place as much as I thought I would, but it was still really enjoyable and well written. I just knew I would have to get this book from the second I read the description. I love romance and mystery if they can be intrigated well, and I believe Amy Zhang is the person to do that.

The Winner's Kiss: Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! This is one of my most anticipated books of the year, and I am so excited. ARIN AND KESTREL ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER, AND I NEED IT NOW. That's basically all I'm thinking. This is my favorite kind of fantasy, where the world is well built and interesting, but the romance is a the key part of the series.

The Girl Who Fell: I don't think I've ever marked something as "Want to Read" as quickly after reading a description as I did after reading the description for this novel. It sounds dark and romantic and important.

Exit, Pursued by a Bear: Stories of sexual assault are so important because they need to be told. They need to be read, they need to be understood, and they need to be listened to. This sound like a truly compelling novel, and I have heard so many positive things about it. And a nod to the Bard doesn't hurt either.

Have any of you read some of these, or are just excited for them as I am? Let me know in the comments!
