Waiting on Wednesday: September 21st

If you've been to my blog before--even a glance at one post--there is a 93.3333% chance that you know I love We Are the Ants with every fiber of my being, every corner of my soul. So as soon as I found out about his next book, which was back in May, I exploded with feels and anticipation.

I cannot wait to snag this book and I would chop my left arm off for an ARC. Okay, well, maybe not, because then it would be difficult to read it. But yeah. I'm immensely excited and I am counting down the days. Shaun David Hutchinson writes with undeniable emotion unlike most authors currently writing and I am whole-heartedly captivated.
Tommy and Ozzie have been best friends since second grade, and boyfriends since eighth. They spent countless days dreaming of escaping their small town—and then Tommy vanished.

More accurately, he ceased to exist, erased from the minds and memories of everyone who knew him. Everyone excerpt Ozzie. Ozzie doesn’t know how to navigate life without Tommy, and soon suspects that something else is going on: that the universe is shrinking.

When Ozzie is paired up with new student Calvin on a physics project, he begins to wonder if Calvin could somehow be involved. But the more time they spend together, the harder it is for him to deny the feelings developing between them, even if he still loves Tommy.

But Ozzie knows there isn’t much time left to find Tommy–that once the door closes, it can’t be opened again. And he’s determined to keep it open as long as possible.

  1. I have We Are the Ants in hardcover but I haven't read it yet. I'll have to bump it up, because this one sounds excellent!

    1. I would definitely bump it if I were you. It is seriously fantastic. One of my favorite reads of 2016--maybe my favorite. Thanks for stopping by!
