Top Ten Tuesday: October 18th

For this Top Ten Tuesday, I decided to focus on male characters. Why is that, you may ask? Because there aren't a lot of girl names that I like. It a weird quirk about me. The characters I've chosen are not only badass characters, but I love their names as well. Which is just as important. So without further ado, here is my list:

I know that Ɖtienne is just the fancy French version of Steven, but I am in love with this name and this character. He's British, complicated, funny, and gorgeous. Swoon.

Finnikin is a strong warrior with a romantic heart. How could I not love him? Also, the child could be nicknamed Finn, which also has a million badass characters associated with it.

Holden Caufield is every broken, misunderstood teenager. He just wants the world to understand him and he wants to understand the world. He's an incredible, honest character, and I love his name.

Jem, Jem, Jem. What a sacrificing, romantic, open, determined, honest character. If my fictional child was half the man that he is, he would be an incredible human being.

Maxon is a charismatic, kind man who wants to change the world for the better. He's the ultimate book boyfriend, but further along in the series, he's the ultimate doting father. He's got it all.

Nat Eaton is the smart, friendly book friend from my childhood. He's got a special place in my heart, and that's probably why I would name a fictional child after him.

I don't even have to explain this one. Neville Longbottom is nerdy, kind, clumsy and an grade A badass.

I am in love with this book and this character. He's the ultimate brooding but wonderfully compassionate solider. And his name is awesome.

He's broken and complicated, but will risk his personal happiness, sacrifice his life, to save the people he loves.

Ronan is life. That is just a fact. He is quiet and calm, but strong and sarcastic.

    1. I never thought of Ronan for a girl! That would be beautiful. And it makes the name twice as awesome if it could be used for both genders. Thank you for commenting!

  7. Oooh, I just love Ronan, Rhysand, and James/Jem. I would use Rhys and Jem for pets, but James and Ronan are such perfect names if I were to name a child after a character! My TTT: http://glitteringreads.com/2016/10/18/ten-wonderful-names-i-might-just-use-for-my-future-cats/

    1. Rhys would be the cutest black cat ever! I can picture it in my head. And honestly, I think if I were ever to name my child Jem, I wouldn't even name them James and call them Jem; it would just be Jem. I love it that much. Hahah. Thanks for commenting!
