The Few Last Graphic Novels I've Read

Because I don't write reviews for graphic novels, here are some of them that I've read recently. Unfortunately, most of them didn't exactly blow my socks off. Sometimes no matter how many positive reviews we read about it or how excited we are to read it, we still don't like it. But alas, that's the world we live in.

Anyway, without further ado...

I liked the first two issues of this collection, but the others didn't reel me in. And that's a little weird, considering all of the "action" occurred in those issues. ★★★

The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favorite series. It's full of exciting action scenes and swoony ships. But this continuation didn't grab my attention; the characters didn't have their spunky personalities and the plot was kinda boring. ★★★

SO GOOD. SERIOUSLY. I had zero expectations and it turned out to be hilarious and dynamic. I can't wait to see what happens in the next collection. ★★★★★

A very charming, unique, feminist spin on a classic fairytale. And the art was beautiful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, regardless of age. ★★★★

I know I am in the minority on this but...meh. Supremely disappointing. I wasn't blown away by the characters nor interested in the story arc. And I didn't like the art style either. So basically all the elements of this comic were underwhelming. ★★

This was very amusing! But unfortunately, I feel very wishy-washy about it overall. I can't decide if I'll continue it or not. The art was pretty cool though. ★★★

So there ya go! There was only one magnificent graphic novel out of the bunch. But I will (obviously) continue to read them until I find more gems. #readerlife
