Top Ten Tuesday: August 23rd

I have WAAAAAAAYYY too many books I need to read that are sitting on my shelves. Like it's almost at the point where I think to myself that I might have a problem. So there are a lot of books that I haven't gotten to yet, that have been sitting on my shelves for years. The books below are just a couple that I need to get to; some that have been sticking around for a little bit longer.

This book sounds like The Hunger Games in a contemporary setting, but for money. Um, sign me up! Yet it sits on my shelf, waiting to be read; and it's been like that since it was published.

I love Rainbow Rowell, yet I have not read her first book. What is wrong with me?!

This book sounds so unique and interesting, yet there it sits. I even promised to read it before the sequel came out, and that still didn't happen.

I do my best to read most of the Michael L. Printz award winners and honors, but this is still one that I have not picked up. It sounds creepy and intriguing, but it's just so big that it's intimidating. Ugh.

I read the Percy Jackson series years ago and loved it. It's so entertaining and full of wonderful characters. But I still haven't dipped into this sister series--no matter how many people love it or how many books come out. It's terrible of me, I know.

I am in love with The Winner's Curse series, yet I bought this book before the first one even came out and still haven't gotten around to it. Maybe one day.

Again, I purchased the first book quickly after it came out, and I have bought the sequels, and I still haven't read any of them. I should probably stop doing that.

I love the concept of this story, and I was lucky enough to snag a copy at my local bookstore several years ago, but I still haven't read it. Unlike Falling Kingdoms, I only own the first one. But still. I should get to it already.

I've read so many positive reviews about this series, and yet here we are. Badass assassin females? Yes, please. But I can't seem to pull the trigger and start it.

I bought this quickly after the publication date, at the suggestion of my sister. But I still haven't read it. #storyofmylife. I want to get to it, but I can't seem to find the will to actually open the cover and dive in.

Have any of you read some of these and have some encouraging words to finally push me to start them? Or what are some of the books you've been meaning to get to and haven't? I'd love to know!
