I know it's a little bit into January, but I decided to do The Perpetular Page-Turner survey! Here it is, ya'll!

Reading Stats 2014

Number Of Books You Read: 107
Number of Re-Reads: 4
Genre You Read The Most From:
YA Contemporary: 47

Best YA Books 2014

1. Best Book You Read In 2014?

I read a lot of great books this year, so I had to pick my top three instead of just one. I also re-read, The Fault in Our Stars, which is one of my favorite books of all time, but I decided to choose books I hadn't read before.

2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn't?

God, this book was such a disappointment. It had the potential to be incredible, but I ending up hating the main character and the entire plot progression.

3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read in 2014?

This book was surprisingly magnificent. I had anticipated reading a pleasant, fluffy, YA Comtemporary love story. But it was a life-ruiner! Deeply movingly and utterly unforgettable.

4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did) In 2014?

I work at a bookstore, so I'm constantly pushing books on people. But The Winner's Curse was the book I made the most people, including multiple friends and cousins, buy and read. And I'm sure they were all completely grateful.

5. Best series you started in 2014? Best Sequel of 2014? Best Series Ender of 2014?

Best Series Starter: Snow Like Ashes or Mistborn.
Best Sequel: Cress by Marissa Meyer. This series just gets better and better with every book.
Best Series Ender: City of Heavenly Fire was one of my most anticipated books of 2014, and it did not disappoint. An incredible ending to one of my most beloved series.

6. Favorite new author you discovered in 2014?

I discovered and fell in love with Jennifer L. Armentrout this year. Her writing may not be world-altering, but her stories are amusing as hell and never disappoint.

7. Best book from a genre you don’t typically read/was out of your comfort zone?

I almost never read historical fiction, but this book was hands down one of the most compelling and interestingly written books I've read in my entire life. Everyone should read it; and I apologize ahead of time for the "I'm dead inside" feeling you will have while reading most of the book.

8. Most action-packed/thrilling/unputdownable book of the year?

This book was so freakin' incredible, I cannot even express it. And I couldn't stop reading it--to the point where I kept sneaking into the break room at my work to read a couple pages.

9. Book You Read In 2014 That You Are Most Likely To Re-Read Next Year?

I'm not sure. But maybe To All The Boys I've Loved Before. It was just so adorable.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2014?

I swooned over this cover for months before it came out, and I still do.

11. Most memorable character of 2014?

It has to be Adelina Amouteru from The Young Elites by Marie Lu. She was truly unforgetable and LOOK AT THAT FAN ART!!!! Gorgeous.

12. Most beautifully written book read in 2014?

Hands down.

13. Most Thought-Provoking/Life-Changing Book of 2014?

See above.

14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2014 to finally read?

So damn good.

15. Favorite Passage/Quote From A Book You Read In 2014?

Let's face it, you did steal me. But you saved my life too. And somwhere in the middle, you showed me a place so different and beautiful, I can never get it out of my mind. And I can't get you out of there either. You're stuck in my brain like my own blood vessels.

-Lucy Christopher, Stolen

16.Shortest & Longest Book You Read In 2013?

Shortest: Who Will Tell My Brother? (160 pages)
Longest: City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare.

17. Book That Shocked You The Most

If you don't know why, then you need to read it and find out. It's a total mind-fuck.

18. OTP OF THE YEAR (you will go down with this ship!)

TOO MANY CHOICES!!! But I would say my top three are Lara Jean and Peter (To All the Boys I've Loved Before), Cress and Thorne (Cress), and Noah and Brian (I'll Give You the Sun). NOAH AND BRIAN HAD ONE OF THE BEST KISSES I'VE READ IN MY LIFE.

19. Favorite Non-Romantic Relationship Of The Year

I don't want to give another I'll Give You the Sun answer, so I'm going to say Flora and Ulysses in Flora and Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures. There has never been a bond like this between a human and a squirrel ever before.

20. Favorite Book You Read in 2014 From An Author You’ve Read Previously

Not including sequels, of course.

21. Best Book You Read In 2014 That You Read Based SOLELY On A Recommendation From Somebody Else/Peer Pressure:

I wasn't planning on reading this book until I read about a million amazing reviews from my friends on Goodreads. But I was immensely happy that I did.

22. Newest fictional crush from a book you read in 2014?

THERROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

23. Best 2014 debut you read?

I know I keep answering with Snow Like Ashes, but it's so good!!

24. Best Worldbuilding/Most Vivid Setting You Read This Year?

25. Book That Put A Smile On Your Face/Was The Most FUN To Read?

26. Book That Made You Cry Or Nearly Cry in 2014?

I cried a lot this year, but the book that made me cry the hardest and the loudest was City of Heavenly Fire.

27. Hidden Gem Of The Year?

28. Book That Crushed Your Soul?

29. Most Unique Book You Read In 2014?

30. Book That Made You The Most Mad (doesn't necessarily mean you didn't like it)?

Looking Ahead

1. One Book You Didn’t Get To In 2014 But Will Be Your Number 1 Priority in 2015?

2. Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2015 (non-debut)?

3. 2015 Debut You Are Most Anticipating?

4. Series Ending/A Sequel You Are Most Anticipating in 2015?

I could only narrow it down to three, and it was the hardest thing I've ever done.

5. One Thing You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging Life In 2015?

I hope to read 110 books this year, and I hope that my blog helps someone pick out a book. That's all I ask.

6. A 2015 Release You've Already Read & Recommend To Everyone:

    1. I didn't want to put I'll Give You the Sun again, so I put Edward Tulane. Haha. Almost equally soul-crushing.
